Back to it!

Lets get back to real in depth creativity

I do apologize for missing my weekly entry.

Every day I am pivoting and figuring out where I want to take this newsletter, finding the creatives out there who are also figuring life out one step at a time.

I was in Brazil, and the beauty of the country and its people really made me feel amazing. It made me feel welcomed and also taught me to be in the moment as much as possible—something I am not the best at sometimes.

We are constantly evolving; well, at least I believe we should be.

This started as just something I would do to help me become a better writer, express my thoughts, and maybe serve others in a way. It’s slowly turning into a mini journal for me, away from the noise of regular social media like Instagram and TikTok. This Substack community feels like just hanging out and talking life with people who are authentic.

I think the noise of modern-day social media has a lot of us in a whirlwind of emotions. I hope we can quiet that over on this side, create things, and share things that we deeply care about and maybe someone else cares about as well.

These are the days where we take our time on our art, crafting something special not for it to go viral but for it to make an impact—to shift the heart of another human being for them to go and shift someone else and let the chain reaction continue. If you have been feeling the burnout of the fast-paced social media, I hope you give yourself grace and get back to your childlike self.

You know, the kid who wasn’t afraid to just do things, feel things, and experience things because you wanted to, not because you needed a like.

I remember taking months to work on a piece of music or content and feeling okay about it because you knew what you were doing was special to YOU. Then we got into this fast, go-go-go mentality, which pushed us to the brink of exhaustion, not creativity.

As a creative, I’m here for all of you in this same space. To learn from each other and help each other feel more alive with each thing we do. I’m not perfect at it, but I’m striving to do my best every day. I want the community to keep growing and talking together.

Remember to slow down so you can speed up :)
