The Final Chapter of 2023: Embracing Friction, Finding Flow

As we stand on the brink of a new year, I find myself reflecting on the words of my coach Lauren, "I want to commend you on something, your ability to have the awareness of friction in your life. Not only that but then to move towards fixing the friction in order to move you closer to your goals.” These words resonated deeply as I ended our call.

A Year of Friction and Learning

The journey through 2023 has been one marked by friction - in friendships, relationships, business, and even physically. Yet, rather than letting this friction ignite destructive fires, I chose a path of careful attention and resolution. This approach taught me a vital lesson: the longer we let friction linger, the longer we delay our evolution into new, stronger characters.

Throughout the year, I often found myself questioning the challenges thrown my way. But it was only towards the end, while revisiting my notes, that a realization struck me. A phrase I had jotted down earlier in the year, "Disruption follows intention," suddenly made sense. My decision to focus intently on my life goals for the next 5-10 years brought about this necessary friction. Change was inevitable, and embracing it was the only way forward.

Gratitude Among the Challenges

Despite the hurdles, 2023 has been a year for which I am profoundly grateful. It was a year where friction led to flow, highlighted by memorable journeys to Bali, Thailand, Belize, and Japan. These experiences have taught me the importance of gratitude, which can soften the blow of even the toughest challenges.

Welcoming 2024

As we step into 2024, I am filled with excitement and anticipation. The year begins with the Heye Frequency Raise 30 challenge (details on IG @Heyefrequency), a revamped desktop setup for enhanced productivity, and a renewed commitment to push my health to new limits. These steps are my preparation for the adventures that lie ahead.

This newsletter, too, is set for a transformation. We're transitioning to the Heye Frequency newsletter, evolving and shifting platforms to connect more effectively with you. Stay tuned for new vlogs and dedicated videos on the Heye Frequency YouTube channel, as we embark on a quarter full of implementation and transition.

As we close old chapters and begin new ones, I am reminded of the beautiful journey that life is.

As we welcome 2024, I want to leave you with a thought: Where you stand today is not where you need to remain. A small decision can lead to a significant shift. The time is now to embrace this beautiful new year.
